Politics and Such
Well, with the whirlwind of vast political rhetoric that seems to be sweeping the country it becomes difficult for one to really form your own opinion. Depending on where you get your information you could have a completely different idea about what the facts are than someone else.
I don't think there really exists a fair and balanced medium to obtain information about candidates or issues. Every source seems to be skewed some way and some sources are so blatantly bias that it seems that they have their own political agendas.
For example, I live in Utah(Republican central). It's hard to hear opposing viewpoints when the sources provided are very bias. If it wasn't for the internet and cable television I would only hear one side of everything. Now try to bring someone here with an opposing viewpoint and watch the fireworks. Michael Moore will be speaking here at Utah Valley State College tomorrow and ever since that announcement people have been freaking out. One idiot,(aka Kay 'Adolf' Anderson), is actually trying to sue the school!
Where do I get my political info? Well, I listen to Sean Hannity(right wing nut job), Michael Savage(pissed off right wing psychopath), and I read various political blogs like Instapundit. These give me a variety of views and I'm left to balance out what I think are the facts. When taken with a grain of salt most political pundits make good points and the trick is finding out which ones you agree with.
That's why I'll be going to Michael Moore tomorrow. Will I agree with everything he has to say? Hell no! But he might have a nugget or two of information that will help me to understand the crazy country we live in.

Glad to see someone else in Utah has a clear view on politics.
I just heard today that Anderson was trying to sue UVSC. I couldn't believe it. It belongs in the "most outragous thing of the day" section on the O'Reilly factor. What a moron
