Let the Documentary Begin
Today I got a call from a reporter for The Daily Universe which is Brigham Young University's campus newspaper. Apparently, she saw my comments over at ProvoPulse.com about booters, and she wanted to talk to me. I answered her questions and told her that I am planning to film a documentary about booting.
What is booting you might ask? Well, basically if you park illegally, a company comes by and puts a big orange 'boot' on your tire. This makes it so you can't go anywhere. Then they send someone to take it off and you've got to pay them 50 bones. A little steep.
Anywho, people here in Provo absolutely hate boots, booting, booters, or anything else that has to do with boots. Which is weird because they really love line-dancing. Oh well. People here hate them so much that the mere mentioning of booting usually results in long strings of Mormon profanity, and sometimes even regular profanity. This emotional response has inspired me to make a documentary that explores the booting industry and look at the pros and cons of booting. It should be fun.
I start filming this weekend. I'm trying to get people to interview and things like that. If you are reading this, live in Utah, and would like to tell me your story, send me an email and tell me your booting story. If I think it's interesting enough you could be in my movie!
