Murphey's Law: a $200,000 proof
They put the diamond in the nose as a publicity stunt and then Murphy's Law came through with flying colors. What would make someone think, "well, let's put this huge diamond in the nose of a car that we won't have control over."
When the car crashed they couldn't find the diamond. How do they know that it wasn't stolen earlier and the driver wasn't paid to have an accident causing the 'accidental' loss of the diamond? I would seriously think about checking for that. Nav Sidhu, a spokesman for the team, was quoted:
"Somebody here is going to walk away with more than just a normal motor racing keepsake.
"I don't expect we are going to get it back at all but we were prepared for this otherwise we would never have done it."
'Yeah, we knew we would probably lose it..." Wow. Way to sound like it was all planned. How do you prepare to lose a $200,000 diamond anyway? Once again we are shown that Murphy's Law is the defining rule of our existence.
